well, you got to have a purpose. You won't get any far with just putting up a forum where people can talk about anything. Your forum can be for whatever, as long as it has a purpose. One of the good ways to start a forum is by getting a couple of people to start it off.. Posting a lot of posts. This will make it easier to draw people to use your forum as they then can start off with reading and not just come in to an empty area and "now what?" Also, a forum needs to be simple,, not too many forums, subforums and sub subforums and so on.. Make it as clean and organized as possible. You should also have a good looking theme on the forum. If running a whole website + forum, make sure to have the same theme on both so that the users don't feel like going into a completely different area. I think thats about it, from me atleast^^

I found this is extremely interesting. the Reefs thing is almost second after the Automotive and perhaps need its own category in Tapatalk
OT (offtopic.com) should be updating their forums soon and adding Tapatalk. They have a lot of members online, besides I've been a member for 6 years there. And since the forum is pretty much payment subscription based for the main forum, a lot of people would be willing to buy Tapatalk if you manage to get it to cover all the mobile OS's.
