If they have Forum Runner installed, try that for testing also.

I just installed Forum Runner on my site and device. I clicked a link and despite being affiliated by Viglink, it worked fine.

EDIT: Retested in Tapatalk and everything seems fine now.

I have a very similar problem using the Droid Pro. Following is a quote of the message I posted on the Droid Pro Forum. Nobody has replied. The actual post is located at:

    Link Problem

I have discovered an odd problem while using Tapatalk with Droid Forums on my unrooted GB Droid Pro. If I click on a link in a message the browser window will open and try to go to an address such as:

    *

(EDIT: for some reason, the long URL I originally entered was changed to just an asterisk after I posted the message. The URL is posted below minus the leading http )

    ://apicdn.viglink.com/api/click?key=a7e5ffb24b9e84f4f4f6bbd88aa4e5b8&out=htt p%3A%2F%2Fwww.psouza4.com%2FBionic%2F&loc=http%3A% 2F%2Fwww.droidforums.net%2Fforum%2F&subid=20885c72 ca35d75619d6a378edea9f76

After trying for a while, the browser will time out and give an error message "Web page not available"

If I click on the same link using the full Droid Forum application, the following link opens without problem:

    Pete's Motorola Root Tools

Whatever I try, I cannot get links to open using the Tapatalk application from my Droid Pro. The links open just fine using my Tapatalk on my Honeycomb Motorola Xoom WiFi only.

It is quite a pain to visit the forum without Tapatalk on the Droid Pro. I would like to get this kink worked out.

    Suggestions anyone? Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

We are still waiting for Viglink response to this issue, the week long holiday don't help either
  7. According to Viglink it might be a connection issue. Try using wifi and see if you still have the same problem. I can actually access the links if I am on wifi but not on 3G or 4G. I have no idea why it is doing this. I have a solid connection.

Same problem here with the galaxy nexus. But it only happens when I'm on 3g. If I connect to my wireless network the links work fine.

Now that's just plain wierd. The links do work when the Pro is on wifi but not on 3G. Is this a 3G signal strength issue?

The problem has mysteriously resolved itself! ???

Oh, I apologise then. I'm no expert about Androids.

3G and 4G use different configurations. The only fix I see for this is definitely changing your DNS IP's.
  13. OK I will look in to that.

That is not a fix that's a work around. Do you think users will change their DNS settings just to use tapatalk? I sure won't.

When the rezound gets ICS it will be interesting to see if it affects all devices running ICS or just the SGN.

I absolutely agree, however, most users do not have this problem because they are not facing dns/routing issues.

Just checked my revenue from tapatalk integration. I will just disable viglink integration with tapatalk. Thanks for the help.
